Fees Involved:

Registration Fee for the weekend of events:  $65 (This fee includes food and speaker fee)

Speaker only fee:  $20 (This fee is if you are only coming for the Saturday speaker)

Lodging:  $35/per person per night ($70 per person for Fri. & Sat)

Payment methods accepted:  Cash, Check, or Money Order

The cost for the whole weekend staying at the lodge would be:  $135/per person

Speaker:  Gayatri Erlandson on Conscious Communication (Psychologist, author, workshop presenter, publisher of Spirit in The Smokies) Her topic is vitally related to all of our endeavors as humans in relationship with our world and certainly in healing opportunities.

Karen-Dancing Doe  Will share her studies of Japanese Reiki Techniques with Frank Arjava Petter & Chetna Kobayashi in Atlanta 8 years ago. These techniques are some of the original techniques that Dr. Mikao Usui taught his students.

The current price per is $35/per person per night.  So if you stay Fri. & Sat. the total is $70/per person. 
Due to the rental fee for the lodge we charge per person instead of by the room to help make it more affordable for all attending.

Suite # 1 “The Clara Stivers Zeagler Room”

Two queen beds, private bath: tub/shower. Upper level.  Fireplace, picture window with west view toward the LightCenter

Note:      There is a connecting door between Suites #1 and #2 which may be unlocked for closer interactions between family and friends.

Room # 2 “Harmony and Joy Room.” 

Coolest room on the upper level. Queen bed.  Bath: tub/shower, shared with Room #3.

Room # 3 “Grace and Beauty Room

Winter sun streams in warming this south facing room on upper level.  Two twin beds. Bath: tub/shower, shared with Room #3.

Suite # 4  The “Anne G. Robinson Room.” 

Wheelchair access, private side entrance on upper level – drive right up to your door. Queen bed, private bath/ shower with bench, hand rails.

Suite # 5 “The Blue Room.”  

Small south facing room on upper level. Single bed.  Private bath/shower stall.

Suite # 6  “The Radiance Room 

On lower level.  Three single beds. Private bath: tub/shower.

Suite # 7  “The Angel Room  

On lower level.  Double bed with private bath: Jacuzzi tub/with hose shower.

Suite # 8 “The Apartment” 

A separate side entrance on lower level – drive right up to your door.  Rustic space with fragrant knotty pine paneling. Living area with apartment refrigerator, day bed and sofa. Bedroom area with double bed and private bath: tub/shower.  Space heater – keep it cool or warm it up.

About Food…

We will be providing dinner on Friday, Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner on Saturday, and Breakfast & light lunch on Sunday. 

 

Directions to the Light Center from the Atlanta area…        

 

  • Take I-85 N toward Greenville, SC
  • Exit from I-85 onto I-185 N (toward Greenville, SC)
  • Take the Exit 1 to White Horse Road (Hwy 25), turn left onto White Horse Road
  • Hwy 25 merges with Hwy 26 (near Hendersonville, NC, just keep following signs to Asheville, NC
  • Merge onto I-40 E towards Asheville, NC (1st exit, says to Hickory, NC)
  • Take Black Mountain Exit 64, turn south (right), go a few block to the Y in the road; turn left to follow
    Rt. 9 and go 8.2 miles (Watch your mileage so you will not pass up the driveway).
  • Turn right at The Light Center sign (white with sparkly letters)

 

Note: The last lane on the right before you go around a U curve is Gold Anchor Drive. You’re almost there at this point.

 

Follow the gravel driveway to either the Dome (down the hill to the right at the Y) or up the hill to the Lodge.

Cell phones may not work in Black Mountain, but the people are friendly and you can ask to use a phone if needed.

 


 

In the thought of giving…

The following is a list of items the lodge is in need of.

 

  • Face wash cloths and hand towels / white preferred – or clear colors
  • Set of juice glasses
  • Small reading lamps for bedside or to attach to head board.
  • Pillow cases, esp. queen sized. White or clear colors.
  • Blankets: Queen and Twin bed size
  • Bath mats
  • Small throw rugs
  • Small soap bars from hotels and motels
  • Sprinkling can to water potted plants
  • Cache pots for house plants – various sizes
  • Juicer  - would purchase if someone has a used one available.
  • Desk chair on wheels
  • CD and/or tape player with head phones.
